Introduction
Over the years,
firstly as the Centre for Land and Engineering Surveying and then as
the Department of land Surveying and Geo-Informatics, LSGI has seen
over 2,000 graduates passing through its classrooms, labs and survey
camps. Many of them have found employment within the Geomatics
industry both here and abroad and others have moved into a variety of
other fields. While many of us work to satisfy the needs of our
employers, our families and ourselves, there are people who do much
more than that. They put their own needs aside and make significant
contributions to the profession in which they work, to the university
that gave them their professional foundation, and to society at large.
In order to give
recognition to these outstanding graduates LSGI has initiated the
Outstanding LSGI Alumni Award. The award will be given every two years
according to the criteria set out in other sections of this web site.
Please give due
recognition to your classmates, colleagues and friends.
Download the nomination form and return it to the department. See
the
Nominations section for details.
Prof. Xiaoli Ding
